In my opinion, the five main elements in the book lord of the flies is suspense, conflict, foreshadowing, curiousity, and goals. The most important element which makes gthe book exciting in my opinion would have to be foreshadowing. Then suspense, then curiousity, then conflict and finally goals. The reason that foreshadowing is so apealing to me is because they give you hints through the dialogue of the characters that something exciting is going to happen later on in the story which encourages the viewer to read on. In my current book lord of the flies, a large group of kids are trapped on an island, the book has identified the two leaders of these kiuds, Ralph and Jack. a side character who has not yet been named tells ralph this. "I saw the snake thing, the beastie, will it come back tonight?"
"there isnt a beastie!" (golding, 34)
This leads me to believe that eventually we will see this large snake thing later on during the story which has really encouraged me to continue to read the text!

ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the 5 elements, each of those play a huge roll. My only suggestion is make sure you reread because I did find one mistake. Overall though its very good!
ReplyDeleteLord of the Flies is a very good book. I highly recommend it, the only thing is the start of the book ( like the first 60 pages) is a little slow. But after that the book becomes very exciting and is a grerat read.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dilbar your blog is very good, and I also agree with your 5 elements you have picked.
